City Parks - The City of Mason has parkland and recreational programs for everyone! Six parks, totaling 242 acres, are home to athletic fields, basketball and tennis courts, picnic shelter areas, fishing lakes, hiking trails, playgrounds, and an award-winning swimming pool. Some parks have picnic and other facilities that can be reserved. Recreational activities and special events occur in the parks year-round. [Take a Tour of Mason Parks]
Landen Deerfield Park - The active play fields at Landen Park are subjected to intense local use for all organized team sports and the fields are frequently busy. However there are also great opportunities for picnicking, trails, playground, basketball, tennis, a fishing lake lake and a new amphitheater that are all available for use.
Craig Minard Memorial Park - Approximately 4 acres are open space suitable for one soccer field and one instructional field. There is one picnic shelter with tables and grills, a playground area and a drinking fountain, a paved parking lot with space for approximately 30 vehicles.
Roberts Property Park - The Roberts property lies pretty flat from its history of farming. It has two ponds and several out buildings. This property is presently undeveloped and will be incorporated as a passive park, nature preserve, arboretum or other passive park use with trails throughout a natural setting. Since this property is not yet title to the Warren County Park District, no park plans have yet been devised.
Voice of America Park - (Located on Tylersville Rd in West Chester) - The Voice of America Park provides the community with 330 acres of open space to enjoy. Development plans for the park include extensive passive and active recreational opportunities as well as recognition of the historical significance of the property. Currently, residents enjoy athletic fields, mowed walking paths, a wet meadow, Wiggly Field dog park, the Diasaku Ikeda Tree Grove and open spaces for leisure activities.
Wiggly Field is a 3-acre dog park located in Voice of America Park that accommodates small and large dogs for off-leash play. The dogs enjoy visiting with one another, as do the owners in this social gathering space. A welcome are to Wiggly Field features a paved patio where favorite family pets can be recognized with a Canine Commemorative Brick (click here for order form). Wiggly Field was made possible with contributions from Iams, Tanya’s Treasures and Sassy’s Friends.
